If somehow you cannot find/make one of these there are also some Luclin based arrows that are made that have 10 damage and then either 4 fire, cold or magic damage depending on which one you make, but collecting the stuff is harder than making the other ones. Blessed Guardian Arrow 11 damage 4 cold damage (Karana only). I think other melee classes should have at least some ranged dps capability. The quiver of endless arrows can store up to 500 arrows at a time adding an arrow to the quiver is a move action. Also, since you only hit once, delay is unimportant. Blessed Champion Arrow 11 damage 4 fire damage (tunare only). When it comes to ranged weaponry (bows and throwing weapons), in EQ the only use they had was for tagging/pulling aside from post-luclin rangers with AM3 and endless quiver. For GROUP pulling only, you want a low damage hit so as to minimize social aggro (adds). Mithrill Champion Arrow 11 damage 3 fire damage. That said, there are 3 arrows that should be used by any ranger with eq/am3. I do not have any of these bows to parse on any of my rangers, but I am going to run some parses of the 3 elemental bows I have and will post the results. Sure, if all you want to do is jump into the dungeon, kill all the monsters, and gather as much gold as you can carry, the end - then counting your arrows/food/etc isn't likely fun for you. The first bow to beat the Featherwood Compound Bow in dps on a regular basis (bows that hit harder can see spikes in their dps when they string together several straight large crits) was the Plaugebreeze from CoA. The quiver of plenty can create an infinite number of wooden arrows. Other AAs that can help with Headshot farming include Endless Quiver (uses the same arrow as you currently have equipped but won’t consume the arrow), Archery Mastery, Bow Mastery, Ranged Finesse, and Trick Shot (gives you the chance to fire more than one arrow). Whenever the owner reaches into the quiver of plenty his mental desire causes it to instantly create an arrow of the desired type that remains in existence long enough to fire. Since most people will be using arrows with 11 damage plus the elemental damage of 3 or 4, when the elemental damage lands, the Featherwood still ends up with the best ratio. A quiver of plenty provides its owner with a limitless supply of various types of masterwork arrows. Use only default ammo (recommended are Endless Quiver/Musket Pouch) to further maximize. These bows have a better ratio than the Featherwood Compound Bow when used with an 11 damage arrow. Welcome to our guides and builds class section for Everquest 2.
